Looking for Day of coordinator help

The wedding is coming sooner than I can imagine and I'm just thinking I might need some help with the timing of things on the day of the wedding. I have done a great job of planning to that point and kind of just need someone to run around and do a few things at the different places so that I dont have to ask my family or don't have to do it myself. I've emailed a few places that I've read on other postings on theknot.com with responses that are thousands out of my budget!

I'd love to just have someone help me for about 3 hours doing some odds and ends, dropping off some flowers, baskets, arranging some chairs and thats about it. I was hoping to find someone to help, maybe someone starting out, or who does odds and ends, and doesn't charge and arm and leg for it. Any help with names or contacts is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Re: Looking for Day of coordinator help

  • What is your budget for a DOC?  I know when we were looking we got quotes form $500 to $1200 I think.  In the end we went without, but that certainly wasn't the best choice (my mom did a lot of running around day of, which I still feel a little guilty about).  Anyway, GL!

  • Since I don't need an actual wedding coordinator and don't need a full day of someone helping I'd like to stay under $500, I know this might be totally unrealistic but that's what I'm hoping for. I really only need someone for about 2 or 3 hours. I did think maybe someone has a junior coordinator or someone that is starting out in the business that might want to help. Otherwise I'll be asking my brother if he has any friends ; ) Yikes!
  • We just met one at the cruiseport bridal show.  She's 50.00 an hour.  I'll find the card and send you the info.

  • Oh yes! I would love to get her information from you! Thank you!

  • Check out Trends & Traditions Events (we worked with Jenny for our DOC) --- GREAT communication, she and her team handled every detail, big or small and we had lots of them including specialized set-up at our reception --- pricing was very affordable --- at least for us in peace of mind on our wedding day. Hi -  I wanted to add my Day Of Coorindator to the list of suggestions - she was AWESOME! (and affordable). Her name was Karen Murphy - she is at Celebrations by Karen F Murphy - she handled everything for me on my wedding day (and the week leading it up to it) and made my wedding so much fun for me and my hubby - her website is www.celebrationsbykfm.com - i cant say enough good things about her!!!!
