Mothers crosage

Do I absolutely have to have parents and grandparents crosages and boutineers?

Re: Mothers crosage

  • Not at all.

Both the MOG & I carried small nosegays of roses & freesia as we both dislike corsages.
  • It's nice to do a little something to distinguish them from your other guests, but it is not necessary.

Corsage and boutonniere, by the way, are the correct spellings.
  • They are not a must but like someone else said it's a nice inexpensive gesture.
  • I haven't been to a wedding where I haven't seen them so we did them.  Besides I'm pretty sure if I didn't I know my MIL and g-ma would have asked and I would have felt pretty bad telling them I didn't get them one.

This. I detest corsages and see them as something for proms and old ladies.  I had a small nosegay for last dd's wedding, her biomom had a corsage, and her MIL had flowers that were absolutely stunning in her hair.

They are certainly a nice way to recognize parents and g'parents but the wedding and marriage are still valid without them.
