Happy Wednesday (whoever is here)

Re: Happy Wednesday (whoever is here)

  • Bay - I'm bouncing back and forth a bit, but I'm still mostly just a lurker.

I'd like to get involved in more threads, but they always seem to be mostly dead by the time I get there.

  • I don't really mind the yoga, but we generally work out in the morning and that long of a work out is just too much for us both to do and have time to get ready for work.

I don't like the plyo as much; my knees can't take all the jumping around and I feel like I'm not trying hard enough if I do the modified.

  • Bay I'm pretty much staying here.  I did just make a post on PB.  But like I said on there it doesn't seem to be many E posters at all on there right now so I feel like a newb posting on SB.  I don't know where everyone is today though.  I feel like a lot of people just gave up posting completely.  That and a lot of people are on vacation I think.  I will probably just go wherever is busier.

Yeah, I have noticed that a lot E people aren't over on PB.  I really don't like the format, and honestly, the threads aren't that different from the conversation threads over here.  Although they did start up an I Judge thread so maybe that will take off.  Right now I'm mostly lurking.  I don't know.

    yeah, what Beachy said.  :)

  • I always commend those exercising. I don't, won't, and often feel like a horribly person but am pretty realistic that isn't changing by much. It does further impress me because I can't. Won't. Don't. Etc

I am rather amused that Sesh is antiicpating the freak out as much as the dolphin! That really sounds like an incredible experience (the dolphins, just to clarify)

Stacks I am missing your GIFs. My kids are too big to be cute, your daughter is adorable. I liked that age (4?), and miss it.

I hope Rach's Moose is ok. Do you think the pink bandana will show up, or is well hidden now?

  • Bay - I don't know where I am. I posted a couple times on the PB, but I just can't sit in chat threads, and tend to pop in and out, so they usually move too fast for me. So, I've mostly been lurking there and posting more here because it's a bit slower. Which has its cons, too :-) But, the crazies are here, and I like to keep up on those.

  • Morning! I am eating cheesecake for breakfast. Why not? hehe

Anywho, I think it's going to be a light day today. My feet are super swollen and I'm not sure I can handle another day of walking. I need to mail some things i got for my mom and grandparents and return some other things I bought.

I did buy a pair of running shoes and some workout gear so hopefully I will start running when we get back. I think it will be fun with Lucy and she just really loves it so keep fingers crossed.
  • Ouch, Snippy.  Rest those feet!

  • I need to be prepared for TOMORROW!! By the way, I need some info on time n stuff. :)
  • I am shooting to get out of here between 2 and 3 PM.  It's going to depend on my boss.  I'm picking Nicki up at our university (about 15 minutes from here) and then we're going to start driving up.  I don't know how the traffic is going to be getting into Boston. :/  That's the one thing I'm concerned about.

    Good morning!

Cheesecake for breakfast sounds divine. Alas, my protein shake and peach will have to do.

Headed to SFalls this PM to do some errands/shopping and then try to keep DD calm all night so she can get up and take her boards in the AM. She is ready, but stressed.

We are also getting eyelash tints while we are gone. Yay! DD isn't much of a 'girly-girl', so NG and I are giving her lessons. ; ) Hoping she likes it so she, too, can join the ranks of the non-mascaras for her wedding day when there will likely be waterworks.

ETA: Also a huge failure at HP. I have seen a couple of the movies but mostly find them doze-worthy.

[QUOTE]mmmendi - I'm sure the pink bandana will come up outside. Our backyard has a ton of landscaping that Moose runs through so it's probably on a bush or something somewhere! WTF: it wouldn't let me type the word ff.rrolicks

<div>Frolics? That is a swear word? Never once have I frolicked in a profane way. OK, maybe a couple of times, but gheez.</div>

  • I profanely frolic all the time.

    (not really)

Random side note: I'm looking at a friend's baby registry and typed in her husband's name. Of course she's listed under her maiden name. I knew she used her maiden name at work, but never really thought she used it everywhere else. I'm certain I addressed their wedding invitation incorrectly now. Which is just one more example of how royally I effed up our invitation addressing. Clearly, that was a subject where I didn't take etiquette into account. Ugh.

<div>She probably won't hate you forever for it. Especially if you get her a really nice baby shower gift. </div><div>
</div><div>So I'm a little bit peeved at my (adult) nieces. The one is here from Boston and the more local ones (think 100-miles radius) are planning a get-together, which is great. However, I told the two in charge that DD and I would be gone overnight tonight three weeks ago. I also told the OOT ones they could stay here, but that we'd be gone tonight. So when do they want to come and do the big cousins get-together? TONIGHT. Which excludes DD. They can still stay here because H and kids will be here but for dumb. I'm kind of pissed. </div><div>
</div><div>ETA: Pissed because 1) I want to see Boston niece whom I've not seen in nearly eight years; and 2) DD is excluded. Although Nerdy Girl will be a fine hostess. </div>

  • Wow at frolicking. Go TK.

I've never heard of lash tinting, and that makes a lot of sense (since you pointed out the tears and mascara effect). Does tinting last long? How much time before the wedding? I think I saw a post on days left yesterday, but I don't remember now.

Oh I'm sure it's fine. In fact, I just looked at a second registry for her, and the name is hyphenated, so who knows what she really wants. Also, can we talk about how confusing baby registries are?! Seriously, I think babies are all cute and stuff and how maybe I'd like one, and then I look at a baby registry and that thought goes right out the window. You'd think I'd finally get used to these after all of my friends have had babies, but somehow, I still haven't.

<div>They definitely require a LOT of STUFF! And they grow so dang fast, they seriuosly might wear something ONCE and then it's too small. Hence, so much stuff. But they are also cute and snuggly and sometimes grow up to be really cool people, so there's that. </div><div>
    </div><div>Mmendi, it's 24 days 'til DD's wedding! GAH! </div><div>
</div><div>And lash tinting is the bomb. It lasts for a couple of weeks. DD is one who has to try things to see if she likes it or not, so we are doing it today and if she likes it, will do it about two-three days before her nuptials. The cool thing about it is that is colors your lashes from root to tip. If your lashes are very, very blonde it is must amazing to see the difference. </div>

  • Well, I'm not getting a dang thing done today. Fi is home since his schedule is all screwed up and he got Monday and Wednesday off this week. My 17 year old finally started her summer reading for AP English so I won't see her for a few days, 14 year old is fidgety because fall soccer starts tonight and she CAN NOT WAIT, and my 20 year old is sulking because his girlfriend is going back to school in a few days and he goes to college back here. It's all just not very condusive to working!

Wally- I didn't know you could tint lashes, I'm going to have to try that one. I started going gray at the age of 14, and now my lashes/eyebrows are staring to go as well. (At 38 I'm almost completely white-haired, but I dye it religiously.) I'd love not HAVING to wear mascara every day.
