**Squirrly and others with Droid Incredible**

I was just looking for old posts about the Droid Incredible to see what, if anything, has been discussed on here. My boss is trying to talk me into getting one. Right now I just have a standard phone and only make calls and text. I used to have a Blackberry but it was through work and I had to turn it in a few years ago. I've missed it. I have Verizon and wouldn't consider switching to AT&T for an iPhone but everything that I've read so far says that Droid is just as good.

So now that you've had it longer and are more accustomed to using it, what do you think? Pros? Cons? What made you convinced that it was the right phone for you? What do you like best about it? Have you found a lot of free apps or has it cost more than you thought you'd spend on them? Any regrets? TIA.

[QUOTE]I have had mine since August. I used to have just a regular flip phone. So far the pros are that I can play Mah Jong on it and I like that, and I can get to my gmail really quickly, and the cons are that my face makes me hang up calls a lot. And also it is harder to answer the phone/hang up the phone when I'm driving. My husband has one too, and he knows how to do all these cool things with it, but I just do basic stuff.

THIS. I love every other aspect of my Droid, except for the fact that it either hangs up the phone or I end up muting myself out. Other than that, I love the apps I have, which I havent paid for 1.

  • I have the r2d2 droid 2 and I love it. So far I havent had any issues with hanging up the phone with my face, or battery life. But, I'm also not a person who runs business meetings through her phone. I'm usually using games, Pandora, FB and twitter as well as texting and email throughout the day. I've also found plenty of fun and useful apps for free.

I bought it right when it came out, which was only 2 weeks ago but I haven't run into any problems yet. I really like the interface but I'm pretty sure it is different than the Incredible (I've also heard the battery life it much longer).
  • I don't have any of the hanging up problems you all have mentioned at all. I LOVE my droid. LOVE it. I wouldn't trade it for anything. The battery life is sorta shitty, but I just got an extra charger for my office and try to plug it in for an hour or so during the day, and that seems to solve the problem.

I just have a regular Droid, but I love it. There are TONS of free apps (I haven't paid for one yet), and I don't find the battery life to be bad at all, considering what the phone does. Advanced Task Manager helps with the battery life though--I easily get 1-2 days off a charge, depending on what I run on my phone during those days. My major complaint is that the charger that comes with the phone has a SUPER short cord.

  • I was anti-smartphone, got an Incredible, and am completely addicted to it. I'll never go back.

Con: Battery life sucks, Facebook app is "eh."

Pros: Powerful stuff, tons of apps... email, gmail, great web browser, lots of room for photos, syncing of all your people info (FB, gmail, phone, etc), ... I've yet to even find all the pros in this thing. It's that awesome.
