Hi ladies.  I'm here drinking my wine and making dinner.  We are having pasta and chicken with peanut sauce and I'm so excited for it.  I can't wait for Grey's to start here.  Thursday is my favorite TV night.

No, it's a local to the Chicago area hot dog/hamburger place.  I think there may be one in california as well.  I know Andy lived here for a bit, so I figured she would know :)

Yup.  I used to bring H hotdogs from there all the time.  Its where people go to get outfitted for heart attacks.

I'm here, doing the last load of laundry and getting ready to start the dishes.

Thankfully it's cloudy here today so I can do this stuff during the day. 

Why you might ask, well we have solar power and anything we don't use is sent back to the grid and we get paid $.42 per Kwh for.  So normally I use minimal electricity during the day so I can make $.42 cents x whatver we produce that day and then once the sun goes down, "buy it back" at $.21.

He's getting pretty excited.  The only thing he is nervous about is honestly leaving me and if I'll be okay.  When we went to our pre-cana class we had to fill out all these different sheets, and one asked questions about what we want in the future and what our fears were.  His answer for his biggest fear in our marriage is that I'll leave him because of the military or deployments.  I know he sees a lot of guys who get divorced because their wives can't hack it, so he's a little nervous about having to leave me here all alone.

dnb - I can't imagine how hard that would be.  I'm glad that he's open about his feelings.  I'm sure that his buddies go through the same stuff - are you friends with other military wives?

Since we had it installed we've sent 150 Kwh back to them, so that is $63 off our quarterly elctric bill, and we still have 6 more weeks to go in this cycle!

And yes, you read that correctly, we only get billed quarterly here.  Makes it a royal pain in the ass to do a budget.  You only get bank statements and mortgage statements on a quarterly basis too (unless you call and demand monthly, which I have).  I can;t even imagine how hard it would be to balance your bank account quarterly!

Yeah I've become friends with one that lives right across the street from me, and we've had wine a few times.  Her H is already gone on the ship. 
He's not normally open about his feelings.  These were sheets that we would be apart from eachother as we would fill them out, and then get back together to go over our answers.  So I guess he could have lied, but he also didn't have to look right at me and say I'm afraid you'll leave me.

Birdie- Yes its our first together.  He's in the Navy and was on shore duty when we met and got married so we luckily had a couple years of not dealing with it.  Now we have 2 within a year unfortunately.  But then it will hopefiully be about 5 years before he has another one.

AK- My brother and I are both Spetember birthdays, and my family has a lot more in September, which just goes to show how cold those Buffalo winters really are!

DNB, that sucks but I hope everything goes well. I know I can't say anything like "it'll be ok" because i've never experienced it before, but I'll be thinking about ya. You're a lot stronger than I could be.

Thanks ladies!  I'm sure I will be on here every night, drinking my wine and looking for socialization.  Actually, it won't be much different than our life right now, except H won't be upstairs playing his computer game.  5 months definitely isn't bad.  I already have it figured out too.  November will seem pretty long, but I'm going to go to our friends in Portland for Thanksgiving weekend, so that will break it up a bit.  December I am going home for 2 weeks and coming back in January.  I think a friend of mine and her BF are coming to visit in January.  February is a short month, and a friend might come visit.  My parents are already booked in the beginning of March to come and my brother might come too.  And the ship is coming home as of now sometime in March.  Haha, can you tell I'm counting it down?

Kelly, I'm trying to cut back on my drinking during the week due to weight-loss issues, but I can definitely be found with a drink in my hand Thursday through Sunday. I just sometimes get a little tipsy and then start typing all kinds of stuff and then I feel stupid later....


But not tonight Those sweat tea vodkas are yummy!
