I'm having a destination wedding and about a month later we are having a party back home for whoever couldn't make the trip or just wants to party some more. It's not a formal event, just reserved a party room at a Mexican restaurant, and we are paying for everything ourselves.
But I just realized the other day that the wording on the invites does show us as the hosts of the party. I never thought of it being a problem since we just want to have a party to see our friends and aren't really expecting gifts. But now I worry some people may see it as a shower or reception. Friends keep calling it a Dallas reception, but it's not going to be like a reception much...more like a dinner with a lot of margaritas
Should I order new invites before sending them out so it doesn't look like we are throwing ourselves a party in vein or to get more gifts?
