Another Rehearsal Dinner Question

My FI and I have decided to have a cookout/BBQ for our RD.  Since we are trying to figure out a budget for stuff, I would like to make a fairly solid guest list for the RD.  Do we invite the BP significant other's to the RD as well?  As of right now, we have 5 couples, plus 2 ushers.  And do we invite those who are doing our readings and ceremony music?  (All being done by family members or friends).  I don't want to offend other aunts and uncles by inviting my one aunt (also my godmother) who is doing a reading, yet we are already over 40 people for the RD list.  Any help would be great ladies!

Re: Another Rehearsal Dinner Question

  • Yes, you invite the BP's SOs.  If you are having an actual rehearsal, and having the readers/ceremony music people at the rehearsal, yes you invite them to the RD. It would probably be nice to do so either way if you can afford it.

We are inviting OOT family who will be in town as well (though I don't believe that's necessary).

Thank you.  I figured inviting the SO's and the readers, ceremony musicians, etc was the correct way to go, but I wanted to make sure.
  • I'm not quiet sure, since my parents are throwing the rehersal dinner for us (which is great and terrible at the same time since we can't afford it, but they don't understand our tastes), but since you asked this I went ahead and asked them whether they are allowed at mine, haha~
  • Anyone who is at the rehearsal, plus thier significant others, should be invited to the rehearsal dinner.
