What to do with this rroom at reception?

Our ceremony and reception loction is an old historic building, with two levels.  The reception will be mostly on the first floor, however there will be fourtables in the upstairs balcony area.  Behind that area is this "other room"..the room with the orange chairs.  Any suggestions on what to do with this room?? theres currently a long table and ugly orange chairs there, and a bathroom.  Then there is a back stairway to the downstairs main room.

Re: What to do with this rroom at reception?

  • Kids activity area if you are allowing children.

If not, maybe just close the door and call it a night? Put extra stuff back there, emergency kit, boxes for decorations etc, do you Need to use it?
  • Don't worry about it, because only the bride, and maybe the MOB, gives a hairy rat's ass about what the chairs look like?
  • Close it off to your guests.  Use it as a break room/storage space for your vendors.  With the other space you have, there's no need to separate your guests from the party...

Or use it for the kids IF you'll have a bunch there AND you'll be paying for childcare/entertainment.
  • I would do it up with food and beverage for the bridal party. A private area to gather everyone for a breather before the start of the reception.
