Who is hosting?

Some of my bms are throwing me a shower. We are having it at my FMILs house. Only a few of the BMs are contributing financially. Who do I get hostess gifts for? The 3 out of 6 BMs contributing financially? Does my FMIL get a gift for having it in her home? The one BM who is really organizing the whole thing even though there are 3BMs contributing money?

I say give a gift to those paying, the FMIL, and an extra special one for the one doing most of the planning.

That sounds a bit confusing. Honestly, if I wasn't 100% of who was paying and how much everyone was contributing (money wise and in their efforts), I'd get something small for each of my BMs, and something a bit nicer for FMIL. I'd rather do that than risk hurting someone's feelings.

Are the BMs not contributing financially helping in other ways?  Like with decorations or food or anything?  How do you know who is giving money and who isn't?

Some of the BMs are just going to be guests. They live OOT or can't contribute financially and that is totally ok. The one BM who is kinda running the whole thing has been filling me in, checking to see if I'm comfortable with the games and such. I wanted to make sure everyone was thanked appropriately.

I would get a nice gift for your FMIL for hosting the event at her home and something small with a nice card for your BMs (all of them, regardless of $$ or not)...  my thought is that (I am assuming) you are getting your BMs a nice gift for being in the wedding party, so something small might be just the perfect touch.
