Good Morning Divas!

Happy Hump Day.  I had to get up 30 minutes earlier than normal today and I'm feeling it.  Today Jocelyn decided would be the first day she was going to pick out her clothes.......she actually managed to pick out a really cute outfit, but I just know this is going to open a big can of crazy in the near future.  Oh, and I just got back from the bathroom where I had to change my shirt around because I put it on backwards and didn't realize it until I got to work.  It may just be a long day!

    Morning dear!

My hump day is over, and I can tell you that it's not as bad as it's seeming for you right now! ;P

Actually, my day was sort of frustrating because I walked to a meeting without realising until I was walking how humid it was, and then felt like I needed to shower again for the rest of the day... it was rather disgusting! But is over now! Hope yours works out for you!

  • Thanks!  I'm sure it'll be fine........just sleepy.  I hope you get a great nights rest.
  • Good Morning.

I'm not sure where the day has gone.  I woke up at 8 with H, ate breakfast and now it's almost 2?!  I haven't done a single thing yet.  I hate days like this.

  • Good morning..

I have the day off.  I need to go to the store to buy some eggs to make banana bread.  I would do it now, but I have to go to the bank also, so I'm just going to wait until the bank opens.

It's going to be a day of laundry, cooking and cleaning... Sounds fun right?

  • Morning, guys! My day will be much like Lynda's. Store, laundry, cleaning, and working out. This morning I woke up to one of our cats puking his guts out on the bedroom carpet. That was nice.
  • Morning!  I have to get ready for a meeting with the priest that marrying us, and I'm definitely not feeling it at this early hour.
  • Morning ladies!  Not too much going on today.  I think I'm ordering our invitations today because the website is having a sale so I'll probably have an annoying "Proof my invites!" post later, haha.

  • Morning ladies :)  I have a super awesome 15 hour day ahead of me, so I thought I'd come here to brighten my morning before I head out.  I hope everyone has a good hump day!

  • Good morning! I had kind of a meltdown last night because I realized that I'm just going to get crazier and crazier until May is over and I'm moved out of here. The two parts of my major exam are set for May 7 and May 12 (really hoping I pass) and then, if all goes well, I have two weeks to do all of the preliminary research and paperwork for my dissertation fieldwork (printing hundreds of pages from an online database) and pack up my apartment to move out. I move on May 29, and then fieldwork starts May 31.

    Somebody hold me.....

wow.. I'm stressed just reading that.

But I know you will do fine.  Things are always worse in our minds than in reality.

  • Hiya cuties! Happy Hump Day!

Stack, if you lay out 3 different outfits and let Short Stack choose from those, your morning will be MUCH easier. I learned this the hard way with Manda! She was mad that she didn't have full access to her entire closet every morning, but we started choosing outfits at night, and from 3 instead of 20, and it went much more smoothly!

I just made my co-worker cry, and I feel bad about it. She's been here 20+ years, and everyone dumps everything on her because she lets them. She won't say no, but then bitches about how much she has to do. We always have to work weekends from the end of April through mid-June because of our one big show, but I warned every single person in this office, including her, for the past year that I would not be doing that this year. People can get me the information I need to do my layouts for the show in a timely manner for once instead of waiting until 2 weeks past a deadline and expecting me to be like her and kill myself making it happen. I'm not doing it this year. I have far too much going on with my house and trying to see my husband on the weekends, and I've repeatedly told them to be prepared for this, or fire me and find someone else to do their shitwork. ESPECIALLY after my whopping $8/wk raise.

She just asked if I could work Saturday because some important stuff for our government program hit this morning (it should have been done in FEBRUARY) and it needs to be ready to go next week because the release date was actually in March and we are already behind. I told her I had plans for shopping out of town, and I couldn't make it in. She cried. I tried to explain to her that she needs to do the same thing and stop letting people walk all over her, but she just won't listen.

I'm not going to be her. I'm not going to let people shiit all over me and then complain after the fact. I feel bad about it, but what else can I do? I said I wasn't working weekends, and I meant it. Maybe in May I'll pull a few Saturday mornings, but that's all these assholes are getting from me. I hate that it puts her in a bad position, but she needs to do the same thing I'm doing and stop this madness once and for all!

Holyshit, sorry for the book! I needed to vent, apparently.
  • Bec that blows, I'm sorry.  FI does that to himself all the time, letting coworkers dump stuff on him.  He will now be losing a week of his kids curriculum because he is attending a science conference in Florida...he's a history teacher.  Story of his life.
