I just read this article about pancakes

and now I want pancakes.

I've been the the Griddle Cafe in West Hollywood. There's a HUGE line every Saturday morning. If memory serves, the pancakes weren't great, but they're HUGE. Like, a good 4 inches thick for the stack and overhanging the side of a large dinner plate. I could only eat 1/3 of them.

I haven't had breakfast for dinner in SO long. And normally when we go out for brunch I get a savory dish. But I love french toast. My friend has been talking about nutella and nutella-stuffed french toast lately, which they HAVE at the Griddle.

Those pancakes at the Griddle are insane.  I tried the blueberry ones, so good, but way too big, and I hate cold pancakes, so it was a waste.

I miss living in LA.

See, now I'm sad.  They don't eat pancakes for breakfast down here.  Pretty much a dessert food only.

And boy, do I get the looks when I make them and eat them with eggs and bacon...

I think pancakes are acceptable as any meal.  For dessert put a little whipped cream and fruit and you are good to go.  Or, just make chocolate chip pancakes!
