I read another article about what happened yesterday. I think it's great that she's determined to be independent. I think those that have that attitude and don't pity themselves when things like this happen end up doing more than they or the doctors could imagine.

This is such a touching story.  Then I had to ruin it by reading the comments below.  Some people doom the marriage because she can't perform her wifely duties in the bedroom.  Ugh.

Wow.  Its great to hear how determined she is, and that her FI is still standing by her side through this.  Its so unbelieveable how quickly your life can change.  I can't even imagine how that girl who pushed her in the pool feels.  I can't count the number of times I've pushed people in the pool before, never expecting it could have that outcome.

8-year-olds =/= 25-year-olds. if my best friend pushed me in a pool I'd be pissed, regardless of the outcome. by that age, you should know better.

If I was fully dressed and we just happened to be by a pool I would be beyond pissed that I got pushed in a pool.  But if we were in bathing suits and hanging out by the pool and swimming I really wouldn't care.  It doesn't really say how it happened, unless I missed that part, so its definitely just speculation.  I don't know, again I just agree to disagree.
