Inviting the ex-sister-in-law..

My brother and his ex-wife have been divorced for like 3 years now, both remarried. I'm having their daughter in my wedding as my flowergirl. I haven't invited the ex-wife because her and my brother don't exactly get along all the time (bitter custody battle type thing). Anyway is it wrong of me not to invite her considering her child is part of the wedding?? I'm feeling kind of guilty and my family is completely split on the decision so I need your help!!
Thanks!

  • Does she have custody?  If you're not still in contact with her, and she doesn't get along with your brother, that's the only reason I can think of to have to invite her.  Otherwise, I'd vote no.

  • I wouldn't invite her unless you're particularly close with her.  From the tone of your post, it doesn't seem that you are.  I say she doesn't need an invite unless she physically has to be there in order for their child to be there.
