So my save the dates are going out in a couple of weeks and will be addressed only to the adults (no "& Family). I know this will cause a stir, but this cut our list by about 25 seats. When invitations go out in December I'm going to address them the same way and include "Please join us for an adult reception"(?, unless anyone has a better suggestion). My question is, with all of the subtle hints,.. is it
appropriate or even necessary to include a short explanation on our website?...
You may have noticed invitations are addressed to adults and not families. As much as we love our friend's and family's children, we have chosen not to include them in our event. We are working very hard to pay for this wedding on our own, and this allows us to provide a more elegant/intimate event to celebrate with those we love.
