What is this new "contact" thing?

I just noticed after the board updates that some people have a "contact SN" link next to the magnifying glass below their posts.  Is this something that the knot automatically set up with our email addresses?  If so, that's not cool, IMO.  PMs are good enough, no?

Hrm.  Just to experiment, I clicked on "Contact Mrs. B" and it just took me to your profile, with a little box that says "leave a note".  I'm not really concerned, if that's all it does.

I don't know.  I just pushed yours and it took me to my profile.  Not sure what it's supposed to do.

Did the same thing to me Rachers. So it looks like yet another thing from TK that doesn't work right.

So, they added another feature that doesn't work.  Why am I "knot" surprised?

I just checked the stupid moderator board (5th time in the last year, the most recent 3 times because of horrible IT things), and people are talking about it, but none of the Knot Gods has shown up to explain what's going on.

And it is the least exciting thing in the world.  I usually don't visit, but lately TK IT has driven me to check it out because once in a blue moon, useful information is posted.

When I first became mod, KA forgot to approve me for the moderator forum, so I couldn't get in.  I had to ask her to be able to see it, otherwise, there was just an error screen.

Can someone look at my planner screen (click on my name, not my bio) and see if you can read the note I wrote myself?

Okay, so now we have publicly viewable messages for people. 

My recommendations:
1. Consider setting your profile/planner page to private.
2. PMs are private.  Notes are not.  Plan accordingly.
3. If you decide to leave your profile public (or if you are a mod who is supposed to leave it public), then check it periodically and delete anything unsavory.

/End PSA.  :P

Yeah the Mod board is a big snoozefest. It's sometimes fun to see some of the local and club board mods get all up in a tizzy about stuff that Mica, Anna, and I usually let go on E and SB though.

But yeah, most of the posts are about glitches or WWYD stuff.

I have my settings on private all the way down the list (have for a long time).  I can still see the notes and post option, though.
