Poll: Gift for Groom on Wedding Day

Just curious... what are you ladies getting for your husband-to-be to give him right before the wedding?

Re: Poll: Gift for Groom on Wedding Day

• A boudoir photo shoot - favorite pics made into a "little black book".
• I got hubby-to-be a pair of diamond earings! He sooo deserves it! I told him that he is not to get me another gift b/cause I know what he spent on my engagement ring!
• I'm also doing a boudoir photoshoot but Im going to try and do a pin up girl look like army girl or something like that :) I know he will like it
• I have gotten him a sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp as a pendant...he is a plumber and can't wear his ring on the job. He can easily put the ring in the claw without taking the chain off and on.
• I am planning to do a boudoir photo shoot and make a photo book for him. I hope I don't wuss out in the end, I have a while and I m trying to get in shape so I can be a little more confident when I get there. I love our photographer and I know the photos will come out great. I may even get a framed portrait of one of the more modest pics to hang in our room.
• well, my babe is a phi mu alpha sinfonian, so i've bought him 2 customized gifts so far: a flask & cuff-links. I'm also gonna get B-pics taken and hide them all over our new place for when we get back from our honeymoon! i'm still looking into oher gifts for him though...there are just so many options, cause he is in no way picky!!<3
• I really like this thread because it's so full of wonderful ideas and suggestions. :) At first I wanted to get my FI a digital piano because he's been wanting one forever, but the one he's had his eye on is crazy expensive...so it will have to wait. :( I LOVE the socks, map, watch idea mentioned above and plan on doing that with a few twists. Instead of a watch, I got him a very nice watch winder that will be able to wind two of his time pieces simultaneously will storing the other three. Not sure yet how to do the maps and socks w/a twist, but I'm working on it. :P
• I always planned to buy a nice watch but my FI is spoiled! I got him a movado a couple years ago (we've been together almost 7yrs!).My new plan is to get b-pics taken profesionally. I'm taking my two bridesmaids wtih me to take pics for their husbands... it should be more fun, and less wierd, and the group rates are a little cheaper. I may pick up something else for him, but I think he'll be PLENTY happy with pics!
• A tuxedo t shirt. He kept telling me that is what he wanted to wear for the wedding. so I thought I would give it to when we leave the chapel.
• I have taken bellydance lessons various times in my life. My fiance has never seen me dance because it's something I don't let people in on. For his wedding gift I bought a beautiful belly dance outfit and plan to give him a solo show.... Something tells me he will like this better than a pair of cuff links....
• we are not formally exchanging gifts. our gifts to eachother will be the wedding bands.
• We're paying for the wedding ourselves - so we decided that was our gift to each other - as well as EACH OTHER!But, I'm the sentimental type so I put together a double frame that has a poem on one side and the other side is saved for our wedding picture.

• i asked all our married friends and family for their top 3 pieces of advice for a strong marriage and put them all together in a book. each page was handpainted (and the advice on cardstock pasted over) because my fiance complains i have never painted anything for him. now he has a whole book! we agreed to get each other gifts but homemake them because we're spending enough money on the wedding!
• I'm getting my future hubby to be a card with a hand written message of my excitement: ) and then I'm going to use the photo booth at the mall to take pics of me holding signs that say "I" "Can't Wait" "To Marry" "You." Then I'll frame it so he can take it to work and set it on his desk...he's always complaining he has no small framed photos of me to take to work! haha
• My guy has been asking for a pair of spy sunglasses for almost 2 years but I always tell him we can't afford them because he is the type of guy who is impossible to surprise and this way he will have no idea. I'm also getting him new wheels for his skateboard because he thinks he is gonna have to "grow up" after the wedding. I love him just the way he is and can't think of a better way to show him that I don't expect anything to change.:)
• money is tight, so we are giving each other letters when leaving the rehearsal dinner.
• I'm having boudoir photo's done as well - he's going to be shocked and love it as this is not something I would normally do.
• I love the "Words of Wisdom" idea! I think I will pass around a book during the reception and have everyone write in it. So much more than just the guest book....and in lieu of the advice video...no drunk Aunt Edna saying things she would rather forget later on....LOL
• I didn't do a day of gift. We gave eachother this 2 days later:
