I was just over at my September 2010 board... and every post is "OMG, Cake topper!!!' or "OMG I bought my dress!!!!!" Why must you use so many exlamation marks, and why are you buying your dress a year and two months in advance? Why are you all so happy and nice... it's just not normal... Barf.Thank you P&E, for keeping it real. That is all.

HAHAHA that's my club board too.  It's very 'squee'.  Don't get me wrong, it's fine to talk about your wedding, but EVERY post is like that.Also, most of those girls are WAY too ahead of the game.  Every single detail is already planned out.  Some of them already have invitations printed, and I have seen several posts asking if it's okay to send Save-the-Dates now.  I always want to say, 'Yeah, sure, if you want people to show up at your wedding THIS year.'

I never hung out on my month board because I was always here. Well, I just looked and it's been nestisized. So even if I had hung out there, I would have had to throw up deuces on them when they moved.

So your saying I'm not missing anything by not going over there?  I think I posted once, but I've got nothing exciting to talk about wedding-wise.Although, FWIW, I have my dress already and bought a cake knife set.  But, that was when we were planning on Sept 09.  I haven't looked at either thing in the last year though.

It's fine to get a couple things early because you get excited.  I'm guilty of already having my gown and a couple decorations because I bought them used from a Knottie.And two people have already pushed their wedding back on the 9/10 board...and there are some who seem to be having some marital issues before they're even married.  I definitely find myself wondering if it will last.

I always thought you need AT LEAST a year to plan a wedding. Yeah, no I could have been married 6 or 7 months after our engagement.No kidding... my husband and I decided to do a 7 month engagement and I was amazed at how many people acted as if we were insane because of this (engaged: August '08 - married: March '09).  We still ended up with 1 month during which we just counted down the days.  To each their own, but it sure worked out best for us!

Yep, we've got our venue, but that's about it right now besides my outfit.  We should do photographer and DOC, but not so much in the mood to make decisions at the moment.

The only reason we're waiting this long is to save money, not to plan.We also booked a venue because those were booking up pretty fast around here...but I'm sure if we waited, we would have still found something.

Photographer will most likely be our next one, but not for a bit anyways. Then its relaxing time for a few months!

I actually haven't visited my month board at all since the great modzilla event of '09.  I only checked then because I wanted to see if insanity was month related.  It was boring.

Ok, here is the panty story.  I actually included her whole intro post even though it's long because it's full of perfect examples of 'squee'.  And not proofreading.---HI Ladies ! So I have been looking around awhile and just wanted to introduce myself ! My ame is Sarah I am 22, Working on a degree in criminal justice and am currenty working as a Semi Individual LIving Coach. FI is Vinny, he is also 22, he is the manager and vice president as well as tattoo artist at Slingin Ink Inc. We have been together for 6 years. He proposed on christmas eve 2007 on an embroidered pair of underewear given to be out of santas grab bag at my families xmas party in front of about 100 people lol and we SET A DATE for September 17th 2010 ! We havent really decided on a ceremony site yet but may be going with nativity of our lord church ! We booked THE Waterfront Banquet hall for the receptin ! I also got my dress !! i saw it in a boutique window downtown while driving by during my break at work ! It looked indenticle to the pictures i had saved at home ! I grabbed my mom and we went and looked at it, I tried it on and it fit absoulutelyyyyy perfect, it needs a slight alteration in the bust but thats it ! PAID FOR IT AND TOOK IT HOME WITH ME THAT DAY !!!!!!!!!! I will post pictures as soon as i figure this thing out ! I was afraid I would regret my decision for buying on impulse but i tried it on againand again and again and cant imagine wearing another dress !!!!! ITS PERFECT ( and i also got a fantastic deal on it seeing as it was a private boutique ; which means more money to splurge elsewhere !! im in the process of booking a photographer and then i want to take a slight break from planning as long as i have the "major" parts in order, I dont want to get stressed out ! Sorry this is long ! You ladies have been very helpful so far !! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE AND GOODLUCK !!!!
