? for the "regulars"

So, now you have me thinking........ what is a reasonable topic a newbie like myself, Jillaine, or Chelesa could post about w/o getting our butts chewed? I talked asked about colors for certain seasons and that didn't go over well, she asked about paying for her wedding which really didn't go over well. So I am just wondering is there anything we can ask about with out being called trolls or "entertaining" you? Or do you just do this so we delete and run because you don't want anyone else on your precious board? Please enlighten me! Thanks!

  • Yeah.  Sure.  Just that once.  ::eyeroll::

  • Common sense and courtesy should be your guiding light.Think of it this way, how would you feel if you were in her parents' situations?   You're on a limited income with no options for making more money, and likely worried about how your going to pay for your own retirement and living expenses as it is.  Then your daughter gets engaged, and you know parents usually pay for some or all of it, but you can't, so you're pride is shattered.  And wouldn't you be annoyed if you were asked to shell out thousands for a party when you may not even be able to pay for electricity, especially considering that person knows the situation?Think of things like that, then decide if the question is worth posting.
  • pc4rc (I think, sorry if I got the wrong letters in there), I think you should name some names.  You know how we work :)

  • you get to know pretty quicky who is BSC or a raging biitch. It's best to just ignore them and not feed into the drama :o)Aw come on, that's why P&E is so fun! Well, there is that ;o)  Depends how deeply BSC they are, I guess...
  • Ok, J&K here is one just for you:  I have to confess that sometimes I wonder if there are two people using E's sn.  In some posts she seems like a normal and interesting person and then suddenly a switch flips and she is downright vicious for no apparent reason or from any real provocation. Also, Kristin (can't remember the exact sn but the one with a Florida knotties sig pic) is just a raging biitch.

  • I am not a troll, i never even heard that term until yesterday, (although I guess if I would have lurked, I would have known before my post). I guess you people really are not that bad. Oh and just for the record I am a horrible speller and always have been, however I do not feel that reflects my maturity, me as mother, or a future wife!
  • Haven't read the responses yet because I'm leaving soon, but if you don't want us bagging on you for things not relevant to your actual question, JUST ASK THE DAMN QUESTION.  So Chelsea could have just asked, "Hey, how are you paying for your wedding?" and left it at that, and she would have gotten just straight answers.  If you bury your question in your whiny novel about your life story, then that's probably not what people are going to focus on.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Good, pc...you should know that you're not allowed to Knottie bash or adore without names :)

  • I'm an English major and I judge people with bad spelling/grammar.  Sorry!
  • I'm still pretty new around here, but it's very easy to fit in.  Just don't act stupid and don't ask stupid questions.  It also seems best to use exclamation points sparingly.  And don't try to jump in on convos you know nothing about.
