To take some of the pain away from still being at work on Friday night, I was looking at wedding stuff, and came across this wedding recap: http://tinyurl.com/qy46xzIt says: "Their wedding was truly outstanding. Something a girl only dreams about. Here are some of the amazing details. (Be sure you are sitting down)"So I got all excited, but then I looked at the pics and it actually seemed kind of tacky/not that amazing. Am I missing something?

It was an unlimited budget taken to an extreme, IMO. Just because you HAVE the money to have 19123891 layers in your dress or on your cake doesn't mean you HAVE to do it. It was over the top, but you can tell they dopped some cash on it.

I thought it was a bit much but overall it was beautiful. That's a beautiful location. Her dress was pretty, but not something I would like. I think the 100 person choir would stand out in an odd way unless they had 200-300 guests. Otherwise it looks odd to have a choir that is the same size as your guest list.

The dress was def my least favorite detail. Also the overabundance of musical entertainment. A mariachi band, 100 person choir, and a big band orchestra? Really???

That just makes me sick to think how much they spent on that wedding. I mean, yeah, if you have the money go ahead and treat yourselves to something nice, but that just seemed over the top. When I think of how many kind things they could have done with that money......ugh That rose canopy was fugly and I bet they could have fed a few hundred families for a year for what they paid for that.

I totally agree that the wedding was way over the top...but come on, are you all saying its not cool that they left in a hot air balloon ride?? Had a choir sing and celebrities?? Its obvious these people are way rich and wanted to show it off but... that dress made me barf a little too.
