If this were me...

I just got this email from a person on my guest list. She sold her house and moved 1/2 way across the country for my friend, the Lance mentioned below. Now, if this were me, I'd be HIGHLY p!ssed. Who does that?!? I realized I'm past the date for your wedding RSVPs, sorry about that! I won't be able to make it. Lance let me know today that he already at some point bought his own ticket using miles. I really can't swing my own, which stinks. I'm going to miss being there, I hope you have a really fantastic day. I am so incredibly happy for you and J. You and I will have our long overdue cocktail together eventually!

So he let her fly half-way across the country, but didn't consider her when buying his tickets to come back "home" (I assume) for your wedding? He's a cad. I'd have to get on him at the wedding about how he rather rudely left his GF behind.

What?!  I would be so upset and hurt if my boyfriend that I just moved across the country with did that.  What's his deal?  Is he just not that into her?

Whoa, that's crazy...can you get her to start posting on P&E so that we can knock some sense into her?

DH would not be my DH if he did that to me.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

He lives in CA, she came from CO to CA. They were both supposed to fly to NC for the wedding. All of us have mutual friends, and all the married or SO friends are bringing mates. I'm at a loss. She's SO sweet, and I don't want to get into their business, but I feel like emailing Lance and asking WTF dude?

Egad. That's insane. Sounds like she's some kinda PO'd at him, too. What a goober.FSIL's BF (live-in) wasn't coming to our wedding because he didn't have the money. Two weeks ago, we got an email asking if it was too late to add him because he'd won some money at the casino and could afford to come.So you live together but don't pool your finances for things like this??

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
