Didn't want to threadjack the morning post completely!I am hoping to have the Alumni Chapel too.  Just waiting for it to be December because they don't book til then for our date (2011).Did you like working with them?

I have seen many posts on the Lansing board where people get frustrated with Amy because she doesn't return calls.  I had no problems with her either time.  My 1 single DD was going to be married there next Feb but they broke up. There was a young man (can't remember his name) who was working there the day of the wedding and he was really helpful.  It was his student job and we really enjoyed working with him. Are you going to use a coordinator?  What other venues/vendors are you considering?

I hadn't thought much about a coordinator, but only because I assumed it would be out of our budget.  I'm hoping to use Two Ring Photography and A Piece O'Cake -- the owners of both are friends of a friend of mine.  I also really like Sebesta Design.  I'm thinking of having the reception at Kellogg Center, but Eagle Eye/HH are possibilities too.  The scenery out there is so nice.  Where I have no clear lead is a DJ, I've seen so many different reviews.  Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?DD #3 ordered a small cake for cutting from Piece O Cake.  Kinda pricey, but it sure was delish and beautiful.  Our coordinator (didn't think I could afford it either, best money I spent) was Lynn Lucas.  She works a lot with Sebesta and raves about them.We hired Lynn for day of services and it was 600.00.  She is amazing and does a lot more than just show up the day of your wedding.  I've told the single DD that Lynn is a must if she ever gets married.I don't have any good DJ recs though.  I wasn't very happy with the ones that have been chosen (not on my side of the budget and not my choice).  I can ask the single DD - she knows a couple of them.
