Hello!I am brainstorming on invitation wording and am drawing a blank on how to find wording for my family situation.  Here are the details:- my Dad passed away last year and left me money for my wedding - my Mom is also contributing- my parents were divorcedDoes anyone have any suggestions?  I'd really love to include both of them on the invitation.Thank you!!!

  • We did "Together with their families." We paid for nearly the entire wedding on our own, but my parents pitched in a bit. And DH's parents are divorced, but both remarried so it was just the easiest/most sensible thing to do.

  • Thank you for suggestions!  They are very helpful for including my deceased Dad.  Before my Dad passed away, he told me he set aside money for my wedding.  It was such an incredible and loving gesture that I definitely wanted to include him in my invitation.Thank you again.  :)

  • He can't be on the invitation as he's no longer living and can't host a wedding. However I think writing him in the program is a great gesture.
  • You could always do something like this:Alexanda ________daughter of Ms. _____________ and the late _____________if you wanted to include their names.
  • Ms. Jane Smith is please to invite you to the wedding of her daughter, Miss Alex Smith, daughter of the late Mr. John Smith, to Mark Jonesson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones.
