stressed out...

i have been sick for 4 weeks now. ive been to the Dr twice (two different ones, about 1.5 weeks apart) and both said id be fine in a few days. still not fine. wedding is 6 days away and i have (almost) no voice, cant stop coughing, and can barely keep food down. oh, and the cold sore? valtrex (thursday) & abreva, and its still here.both doctors told me i dont have strep or bronchitis, one said flu, other said cold... both said id be fine in a few days and im overreacting.so... just.... CRAP. thats all. im stressed. i know people have it way worse than me but i am so pissed about this. who has a cold/flu for 4 weeks? oh, and i cant get any more days off work, because ive already had about 5-6 sick days over the last month for this and cant get a doctor's note because all it will say is "Sules THINKS shes sick. but shes fine".k. thanks for listening.

  • Bah, try to calm down a bit (easier said than done I know) b/c typically when I get cold sores they are due to stress. I hope you feel better soon though!
  • Oh sweetie. You poor thing. Can you take an evening and sit in a hot, hot bath with some bath salts and some hot tea with honey and whiskey and just decompress and heal? I know it sounds silly, but you need to medicate your body AND your soul right now. Perhaps even an afternoon massage if you can fit one it. An aromatherapy massage with lavender or eucalyptus would do wonders for you right now. Hang in there! We are so so very close to this all coming together. Stay tough!
  • It's probably stress induced sickness (and cold sore).  I really hope you can get some relaxation in before the wedding, even though I know that's virtually impossible.  Try really hard to get an entire evening in to yourself and just pamper and relax.
  • I'm really sorry to hear that, and I sure hope you get to feeling better real soon. I know you're beyond frustrated. It's maddening to feel bad and not have it defined or be able to treat it, and it's 100000 times worse to be close to your wedding.Rest as much as you can - I second Bec's advice about relaxing and hot baths (AND the honey/whiskey.... gotta love home remedies!!).  Massage would be good too!Take care of yourself.

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
