I posted this on my local board as well..The people that threw you a bridal shower. Did you get them a thank you gift for hosting? This came up on my club board.

I got mine gift cards I knew they'd use and really, really nice thank you cards.

I didnt, only because my aunt who threw my shower informed me at the end of it that if I sent her a thank you gift, she would mail it back to me, so not to bother. Shes kind of crazy so I believed her and just sent a thankyou card.

Typically you should. I sent my sisters flowers.

I did.  Generally it's just something little to say thanks.  I had 5 shower hostesses.  I got all 5 a wrist corsage to wear that day.  I got my mom and aunts a jar of Lindt truffles and a bottle of wine.  My grandma and FMIL got reed diffusers.  Also, my sisters and cousin helped a lot so I got them a jar of Lindt truffles, too.  All 8 got a little bar of soap from LUSH with a note about hoping their next shower is as nice as they made ours.

Maybe not required or expected, but I would.  I gave mine gifts ranging from $15-20, some got monogrammed notecards, others spices, giftcard or book.  But I also abide by the rule that pretty much anytime you attend a party you bring something, even just a bottle of wine, for the hostess.
