Favorite skin care line?

I started proactiv.  It's really cleared up my face, I love it.  My friend told me that once you start proactiv if you forget one day, you will pay for it.  Man was she right.  I was all cleared up but forgot to wash my face friday night.  Damn.  I am getting a blemish.

  • I love Proactiv too.  I never really had super bad skin, but I pretty much never get a pimple now because of it.

  • I've never found that the brand makes a difference in my skin.  What I have found though, is that when I don't wash my makeup off before bed, I can count on a big ole zit the next day.  So I don't care what kind of soap it is, as long as I get to wash my face.

  • Be very careful with your clothes -- Proactiv did nothing for my skin (except for the mask, which is great as a spot treatment), but bleached my clothes and towels.I like Bliss's Sleeping Peel cleanser and toner (both discontinued unfortunately), Peter Thomas Roth and Revive.

  • I used to use proactiv and LOVED it. Great product. Now I use cetaphil with aveeno daily with SPF in the morning and Oil of Olay regenerist at night. I've been using this for the past 5 years or so with good results.

  • I'm a fan of Cetaphil - the cleanser and the lotion (I've heard some folks talk about it having a fragrance in it, but for some reason, the words "masking fragrance" make me okay with that.....). I also use the lotion on my hands at night. But I also like Clinique Redness Solutions.

  • I took Accutane (used to have horrendous skin) and I've been clear for months. I like simple old Neutrogena cleanser and either Aveeno or Clinique moisturizer!
  • Be Fine products are the only thing that keeps my skin from getting oily without being dry.  i haven't had a notable blemish in 2 years because of it.http://www.befine.com/
  • Boots No. 7 works great.

  • I'm a big fan of using pretty much any kind of facewash (I think I use clean and clear), then slathering on oil of olay moisturizer, and putting on some kind of zit cream (apparently brands don't matter to me, or I don't pay attention) on problem areas. In the summer all I do is wash my face and usually I'm fine, but in the winter my skin gets too dry, so I started using moisturizer, but discovered that that made me a little break out prone, so I added zit cream. For now it seems like the perfect combo :)

  • I heart Biore. We use almost everything that line offers. It's the only thing I've seen that can clear J's face up real well.
  • Clinique and Boots' brand.

  • Arbonne, it is WONDERFUL. All lines. My mom started using the RE9 line, and in about 2 weeks she looked probably 4 or 5 years younger. It's done wonders for her wrinkles. This is the first product I've used that has actually helped my oily skin. I can't remember the line I use though.

  • I use a neutrogena exfoliating scrub. In the winter I need moisturizer as well. Not too much though, so I can get away with the expensive stuff--I like Dr. Hauschka's stuff. I'd use the cleanser, too, but it's too pricey.
  • I usually just wash my face with Clean and Clear astringent at night to get rid of dirt/oil/makeup. I use a Clean and Clear cleanser in the shower in the morning.I recently started using a moisturizer with SPF everyday (hey, I'm 27 - gotta try to keep the skin looking young!). I really like the Biore daily duo stuff. It has SPF 30 and it's designed for 20-somethings, I guess. It's really light and not oily. And my makeup blends well into it.

  • I tried the proactiv once.  And only once!  I've never thought of my face as being sensitive before but that stuff burned.  My skin was bright red for about 4 hours after using it.  Never again!  My daughter just started using the stuff I bought a few days ago and hasn't had any problems with it though.I use the Oil of Olay Age Defying line.  I haven't had a single blemish since I started using it.  My face was never really bad before but I would usually have a breakout once or twice a month.
  • Arbonne - My skin has never looked so clear! I will never use anything else again!
"does this sweater make me look fat?" "no, the fact that your fat makes you look fat. That sweater just makes you look purple".
  • I use Aveeno and St. Ives and I like it.  I've never had bad skin though, just oily.Andy uses proactiv and nothing works for him.  But his siblings who used anything more harsh got sick/their skin freaked out.  Unfortunately it seems like for his family they just have to ride it out.  It's weird that a few of you have mentioned Arbonne.  I had never heard of it until last week when my friend decided to start selling it.  I'll tell her the rave reviews!

  • Right now I am loving Peter Thomas Roth, which is sold at Sephora. It is a dermatologist line and works very well. I love glycolic acids. It is a reasonable price point too. I also use Kinerase super intensive eye cream and love it. I also love Revive, but most of the products are $50 and up so I have cut back to the $40-70 range. Skinceuticals is awesome too. I spend a lot on skincare but I think it helps me look younger:)

  • I exfoliate twice a week with a cheap-o exfoliator, then put on Oil of Olay's Complete daily moisturizer with spf 15 in it. At night I use Origins' Checks and Balances cleanser, followed by an Origins toner, then a Kiehls night cream. I've also just introduced some beta hydroxy pads from Trish McEvoy that I use once a week. I have super sensitive skin and have an allergic reaction to many skin creams. Origins is great for sensitive skin, and so is Kiehls.
  • Proactiv did absolutely nothing for my skin. I use Clean and Clear face wash with a Bare Minerals moisturizer. As long as I wash my face every morning and every night I am blemish free.

  • Clnique Acne Solutions line. It's been fabulous for me, but it's a little drying, so I sometimes add an extra moisturizer (either Arbonne's Fc5 or Neutrogena for Sensitive Skin)
