Re: Thank You Letters Formats

  • Are you talking about actual gifts, or cash? Thank you notes for actual gifts should be tailored to what it is. For cash gifts, I did something like: Dear Aunt Mildred, Thank you so much for coming to our wedding and for the generous wedding gift. We look forward to picking out new kitchen gadgets for our home. We hope to see you again soon. Love, Brookelynpaisley & Hottie HubbyMost of the few gifts we got are for entertaining, especially serving platters and and our place settings, so I said "we look so forward to entertaining guests in our home and the _____ will add the perfect touch."

  • I don't have and letters formats, but I found that I tended to write the same sort of thing over and over again on our thank-you postcards. It went something like,"Dear greatperson,Thank you for joining us in celebrating our marriage, and for the lovely gift (say a little about the gift here, eg how it will come in handy). We had a fantastic evening and hoped you enjoyed yourself as much as we did! We're looking forward to seeing you soon"That was the general gist, although they obviously read a little more formal and personal.
  • i swear wedding thank yous are the first thank you notes some people on here have ever written in their entire lives.
