Framing Your Vows

Has anyone done this?  Part of me thinks it would be nice to do something with them to remember the promises we made to each other, but I've never known anyone to do this so maybe it is weird.  We customized our vows so they are not just your typical generic vows.  Thoughts?

Re: Framing Your Vows

  • You could put them in a shadow box with other parts of your wedding, like an invitation, a program, a pressed flower if you have any, stuff like that.  Or you could frame them somehow with a wedding picture of the two of you.

  • I personally wouldn't do it, but Dani's ideas are good to incorporate more of your wedding into it if you do.
  • My grandpa (who was our minister) had our ceremony script bound in a leather book that he gave us after we got back from our honeymoon. It's not something I would want hanging on our wall everyday (I'm not that sentimental!) but I really like having a nice copy of our vows to keep. When DH and I wrote our ceremony together, we used prayers from both my parents' and my grandparents' wedding ceremonies so having a nice copy of our ceremony to keep as a wedding memento was very special.
  • I'm probably going to scrapbook them somehow. I'm going to write our ceremony, and I have a feeling that I'm going to want to preserve it somewhere.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • I will probably put the full text of ceremony in our photobook.  If I could find a pretty way to have it printed, I might frame a copy, but I haven't quite found that yet.
