junior on wedding invites?

We have our wording all picked out except for one detail. My fiance is a junior, do we put this in the invites? Right now we have our parents names and our first and middle names on the invites.  Do we put junior or II after his middle name or nothing at all? thanks much!!

Re: junior on wedding invites?

  • There's a tool that can help with this. go to the knot's home page and search for invite wording.

  • You should ask your FI what he wants.  I know some guys that have Junior attached to their names and they hate it. I would think though that Jr. would look silly after a first and middle name without the last name.  I'd leave it off.

  • Does he use Jr or II? He should only go by one, not both. You could always take your parents' names off and just use both of your full names.

  • My FI is a Jnr and we put it on the wedding invitations.  It is legally part of his name, and otherwise it would look like I was marrying his dad.
  • oops, reading fail.  No, I wouldn't put Jnr unless you also have his last name.
