Whenever we aren't home we shut the bathroom door. Today when I left for work I thought JT was downstairs eating. Apparently he was in the bathroom and I left him in there all day. I can't even begin to describe how bad I feel.

FI and I (mostly FI) have inadvertently shut our cat in a) cabinets, b) bathrooms, c) closets, and d) bureau drawers.  Don't feel bad!

That sucks.  I always feel really terrible when I accidentally do stuff like that because I know the dogs can't comprehend "I'm sorry." So I just play with them extra and cuddle them a bunch more and hope they get it.

I've locked my kitty in the closet all day before, it happens. You can't let it upset you- really, he probably napped about 80% of the time he was in there. Just don't let it happen again!!

We did that to our cat a few weeks ago, but in the bedroom.  She had scratched the carpet right by the door to shreds trying to get out.  I cried.  I think she's gotten over it now, though - lol.  She got a lot of extra attention from both of us for a few days after that.

Don't feel bad.  I left my dog outside in the snow all day once- that I felt bad about. Plus, our dogs are in their kennels all day, which is probably about the same as being in a bathroom.

My dog locks himself in rooms all the time. Idk how he does it. Don't feel too bad about it though. No harm, no foul.

Apparently the bathroom is a wreck. Thabk goodness we just got a new cabinet for the bathroom. We did have facial cleansers and toothpaste out. He couldn't get into anything.

I thought it was a kid at first as well. Once we left the dog in the laundry room on Christmas for like 14 hours, she was really pissed when we got home.

my kittens are obsessed with dresser drawers, we have definitely closed them in there a few times. you would think they would stop climbing in them, but no, every time they hear a drawer open they come running.
