Thanks!There's a post from this morning around here somewhere - he finished a bit short of the team, but we were kind of expecting that especially after the injuries he's been dealing with all fall, and overall we are really happy with his times, and definitely not disappointed with the result. He got a lot of personal bests for that particular arena. There's another set of trials coming up in December in Salt Lake City, and we're looking ahead to those as well.Overall, the weekend was a blast. It was great to see him and blow off some steam, and I know I'll only be waiting three weeks to see him again instead of almost two months, so that definitely helps.Now, if only I didn't leave such a big pile of schoolwork to do before class tomorrow...

And that's what happens when I don't read everything, I make people repeat themselves. Bummer that he came up short but it sounds like everything went great anyway. Hopefully the next trial will be FTW. I'm so amazed at how you guys deal with your LDR. I don't know that I could ever do it. Now, go do some reading, writing and 'rithmatic!

No problem on the repeating - being paged makes me feel loved!I think the LDR is going to be worth it in the end, because FI is so great, and because we're both young now and fulfilling a lot of dreams that we might be sorry we didn't pursue later on if we gave up on them now. There's a possibility that we will be living together by this time next year, and thinking about that makes me feel a lot better. The time will go by somehow.Stupid school... you know you've got problems when you are taking a break from one of your writing assignments so you can work on your other one.

Totally. It's great that you guys are both doing what you want to be doing. And I fully agree with taking advantage of opportunities when you're young. The longest DH and I have been apart was 9 days. We were total babies about it. I know at some point his career could mean us being apart for long stretches and I really hope I can handle it!

I think you'd figure it out. Being LDR is definitely good for communication - if we have to discuss something, we are pretty good at getting issues out in the open and resolving them. I've also learned to love hearing his voice over the phone so much that when I'm with in-person FI, sometimes I find myself missing phone FI, so he'll call me on the way home from work or something. I have quite the emotional relationship with my phone.

I know which one you're talking about. I'm not sure yet whether we're going to eat in or order out, because I'd like to have it somewhere where we can all sit around a table, but I'm not sure whether Mack and Manco's would care about reserving space for us, since they do such a booming business during the summer. FI and I will do some further research about this when we're there next summer.
