Stupid H1N1

2 people in my office were just diagnosed with it. That's not counting gross coworker that I share a space with who came in here yesterday coughing and snotting all over the place and still hasn't taken herself to the doctor. This is just great. I'll be taking a bath in Lysol now.

  • Boo :(  Take good care of yourself!  I hope you don't get sick.

  • Ew... two of our friends have it :(

  • I'm sorry. It's times like this that make me very thankful that I work from home...
  • Sucks, that's no fun! Would going to the doctor actually help her at this point though? Don't they just say lots of rest and fluids? Maybe I'm thinking of a cold?
  • Oh not you too salt! Make your gross coworker wear a mask!
  • If you feel even the slightest sore throat or cough or fever, go to the doctor and get the Tamiflu. If you're feeling okay by tomorrow at this time, you should be okay (it has a 24 hour incubation period). I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

  • Come to Annap, we're safe here :)
  • Luckily gross coworker was smart enough to call out again today. I have a headache right now, but other than that I feel ok.

  • There is only one solution: If anyone sniffly comes near you, light them on fire. You gotta do what you gotta do to stay well.
  • Oh dear... take care of yourself, salty!I think one of the profs here has it - he's def had something nasty, but has been home for the past 5 days. I've had a sore throat off and on for weeks, but no fever - doc thinks its drainage.Fingers crossed!

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Ugh, my mom is home from work feeling sick today (sore throat and such) but won't go to the doctor.  She's angering me.
  • It's going around here too. My H has been sick with a bad cold all week and now my best friend's toddler has the flu.  My friend we saw on Saturday has been sick with a sinus infection too.  Ugh.  I'm just hoping I don't get it. It's hard to stay away from H since we live together and all.  I freaked out on him yesterday from drinking out of my glass and he was all put out.  Um, hello?!  You're sick!  Get your own damn glass!

  • UGH.  THe person whose office is next to me just found out her daughter has it, so she's gone for the day now.  My awful coworker that I hate whose office is on the other side of the hall took it upon herself to drench the office next to me in some disinfectant stuff and now I can't  breathe and I feel like I'm about to throw up because of the smell.

  • My whole family had it.  It's just like any other flu and some get more symptoms than others.  My DD went to ER and they basically said "sucks to be you" and sent her home.  There isn't anything they are going to give you for it, you ride it out. Most of us had milder symptoms but 1 g'DD and DD had it pretty good.We are getting these Army safety posters around here and one of them says the virus can live on paper money for up to 10 days. All you can do is wash your  hands, lysol the crap out of everything and wait it out.  For the flu it was actually pretty mild for most of us.
  • i got the pig flu on monday.  i work with 2 year olds in a daycare..probually how i got it.  Just felt like a bad-a cold and a temp.  they swab your nose with a dry q-tip that burns like a mother effing biotch.  (they practically swab your eye!)Alls they do is say yeah, you got it, go home and rest.  i've been without pay for 3 ddays now.
