FOB, my ex, gave the engagement party for M & E and really did a great job, unassisted by anyone.  The only thing he allowed me to do was the invitations.  Wm. Arthur, of cours :PLive music, blue hydrangea (M's wedding flowers) on the tables, open bar, buffet dinner, dancing, etc. for 80 of the closest family and friends.  This was exactly one year before the wedding.Both M & E are the "golden child" of their family so I knew it was going to get out of hand.I put "no gifts, please" on the inviations.You flame me  now, I can take it.btw, half of the guests totally ignored my request

Like, I remember when you were just "ootmother" and chad banned you claiming that he thought you had been hacked. I think I was in my early 20s at the time thinking I was going to marry my HS sweetheart.

hahahaI remember why he thought I had been hacked too.I said that he & ramey must have eating disorders if they needed 50 pieces of appetizers in place of a meal.Chad had no sense of humor at all

Sun, it was not exactly a surprise that "Chad" was neither a gay guy all wrapped up in his SO, Jared, and Wynter, their adoped baby girl.Nope, still don't buy it now any more than in 2004

oot - I am stunned.  speechless.......like THAT would ever happen! I don't know if that is enough to get sent to etiquette Hell for eternity though.  Remember my post last Spring about DD's biomom's and stepdad's cretin etiquette challenged family and coming to the decision to put "adult reception to follow" on the invitations?  That will singlehandedly get me into Hell.
