So yesterday it was 35 and raining all day.  Today there are flood warnings and 63 with a high of 68 degrees.  I can't handle the bipolar weather.  Iowa's weather is so much weirder than South Dakota's.

Yuck. That's the kind of weather that makes you sick. It's been really nice here all week except for Tuesday when it rained.

I don't know a thing about mid west winters, but I'm already not looking forward to what it seems like we have in store for us in the pacific northwest.

I finish Library and Information Science with a Digitization emphasis in December and start Health Informatics in January.

When I was in college, January in Iowa was most definitely the most desolate conditions I have ever seen.  It was incredible.   If we didn't have class, we stayed inside, not even leaving to go eat in the cafeteria.  Somehow we managed to find enough inspiration to trek it to the bar, though.  Huh.

I grew up in South Dakota and I think it is really throwing me off now, haha. In St. Louis now and it is in the 60's which seems nuts to me. I'm jealous of my S.D. friends with their snow and cold weather and being able to wear coats and fun cold weather clothes!

Iowa City weather sucks 90% more because they refuse to maintain the roads at all in winter.  They just kind of figure people will tamp down the snow by driving on it and don't plow or salt.  It's awful.  Winters in Chicago are equally bad, weather-wise, but they have their shiit together when it comes to road maintenance.

Are most on P&E from up North?  I'm a tad jealous of the snow and 35 degree weather ya'll are reporting.  We had a "cold" front blow in...but our high is 65, and we are all bundled up in sweaters.   Oh, well.  It's better than the 80-90 we have been having.

Shoot, we've dropped down to 53 and will be down around 40 by the end of the day.But the rain has stopped.  The wind is so bad, though, it sounded like a girl screaming outside the house this morning.  Our sump pump was running like a mofo all night.

I think it's mostly a football thing, however it's a big enough rivalry that it kinda turns into a general thing. Being out of school for a while now though, it's a little less intense. The Hawks are doing awesome this year! I'll be in IC for a game in November and I'm looking forward to it quite a bit.
