Backstory:  When FI were first talking about getting engaged I told him I didn't want him spending a lot of money on a ring.  I have a guilt complex about spending money on myself.  Together we found a beautiful pearl ring that was inexpensive and it later became my engagement ring once he proposed.  I got to wear the ring for about 3.5 months before the pearl became loose and got so scratched up that I stopped wearing it for fear of damaging it further.  I ended up being way more disappointed about not wearing a ring than I thought I would be.  (Note: I never said a word about this disappointment to FI)  I guess it was bothering FI as well because for my birthday back in August he bought me a new ring.  After a lot of stupidity with the jeweller, I finally got my ring yesterday![img]http://i37.tinypic.com/30hq4bn.jpg[/img]   [img]http://i33.tinypic.com/j16gkw.jpg[/img]

That's really pretty. Congrats! It actually looks a lot like an antique ring my great grandmother gave me.

Very pretty! It's sort of similar to mine (3 stones with more in the band)  Jewelers can be such a pain.  When we got my ring re-sized they said it would take 6 weeks at the most but it ended up taking almost 10!

sparklzk27-  It was supposed to have only taken 3 weeks to have come in but they originally sized it wrong so they sent it back to be re-sized.  That was only supposed to take 4 days.  When FI went back in to pick it up they said it wasn't back yet, but come to find out later that it hadn't even been sent out.  The next couple of weeks were just delays and more delays.  If it was going to take another 3 weeks to re-size it would have been better if they had said that right at the beginning.

"When FI went back in to pick it up they said it wasn't back yet, but come to find out later that it hadn't even been sent out."We think they forgot to send mine out too.  Especially since when he called to check on it they were like "hmmmm.........can I put you on hold for a moment?"  followed by two more people who said the same thing until he finally got the manager.  We are not getting my wedding band from there but might have to get his there since we can't find the one he wants anywhere else.
