Old best friend from high school facebooked me that she is in town and invited me out. We haven't talked in at least 15 years. I should go but now I have a headache and am not in the mood to drive to the strip or be in a loud place. Do I go or pretend I didn't get the message until tomorrow? I am incapable of decision making at this time.

I'd totally pretend I didn't get it until tomorrow.I mean, she can't be expecting you if you didn't confirm plans or anything.  She just asked you to hang out?

I would be oh so tempted to receive it tomorrow. But, I have to say, usually in these situations when I DO decide to go out, I am glad I did.

I emailed her this morning that I was free tonight or after work tomorrow and gave her my number. But I decided I wasn't in the mood to answer my phone. I am a loser. I would love to see her actually, just not in the mood to go out or be around a big group of people I don't know.

If she calls I would feel obliged to go.  If she just leaves it at a FB message I would pretend I didn't see it.

I'd pretend like I didn't get the message until tomorrow. She should have made firm plans further in advance, at least according to The Rules.

If it was me, I'd play dumb and say I got it tomorrow.  I'm not big on last minute plans, though.  JMO.

She did call a couple hours ago but I just checked my messages. She just emailed me last night that she was in town. I would love to see her but I just don't feel like going out, even though in my email I said I was available tonight or tomorrow night. She is with a bunch of friends so she just invited me along with them. I am so lame. I always make tentative plans then decide I am not in the mood. I used to go out 5-6 times a week, now I would rather sit on my couch in my PJs and drink wine alone. I am letting you guys know all my secrets! Now you will know the truth if I flake!

Eh....did I pretty much write the same message twice? My knot went down for a min and I thought it didn't post. Sucrets, you are funny. That is exactly how I feel lately. Although I may be more inclined tomorrow if she is at a club at Wynn and I can pop in for an hour after work. That is so much easier. Other than that....I will probably flake.

I would also be less inclined to go if she was the only person I knew.  I'm not good with strangers.

I'd say I didn't get the message until tomorrow.  But if it were me and she happened to call me again, I would answer and just tell her that I'd rather meet up with her tomorrow, just the two of us, since we haven't seen each other in so long and it would be better to catch up without so many other people around. Sucrets--I'm horrible with strangers, too, and when meeting people for the first time in person.  Which could explain my slight awkwardness and excessive use of my hands while talking on Tuesday

I'm Italian, hands are normal.  And if you even meet Bryan, he uses excessive hand gestures, and he doesn't even have the Italian excuse.  I tease him.I was sleepy and spent from the long day, so I wasn't the quickest with conversation.  But I still had a great time!

You should meet local girls from the bump!!! Haha...j/k....I hear the bump can be scary. I had a ton of friends when I went out every night. Not anymore. And the ones I do have work at night. Have you posted any pics of your cute belly yet? There are a lot of cute bellys in this thread. My friend in Cali just found out today that her twins are going to be identical, she thougt they were fraternal originally....I am so excited for her!

i'd call and let her know that i don't feel up to going out tonight but i'd love to see her for a bit tomorrow afternoon.you know. the non passive-aggressive approach. it doesn't leave her hanging.

sascha - the arkansas boards are so lame.  I'm the mod for the one here and there's so little traffic, it's sad.  And I think there are only a few people on here from central arkansas.  There are more people in northwest AR (super awesome Stage), but that's about 3 hours away.The bump local is even more dead.My belly is all fat and bloat and not cute at all.  My pants are getting tight, but that's from eating poorly and not working out.    I got a few pairs of super awesome mat pants from Old Navy.  They don't even look like mat pants - they are low rise and just have an elastic waist.  I'm so tempted to wear them now just for comfort, but I don't want to out myself at work.

It has actually crossed my mind to wear Seven maternity jeans because I hate the feeling of a tight waist band.

Sucrets-the AR board bums me out.  I just checked it tonight (after not looking at it for days) and I was super excited to see a new post--but it wasn't anything special.

I totally want Seven mat jeans, but the responsible side of me won't let myself buy them.  I do think I'll be saving the mat jeans for special eating occasions such as Thanksgiving.  I hate that constricted feeling.

katie - I get jealous when people have awesome locals.  Even the LI board is lame.  More action, but not a lot of socialization.
