Paranormal Activity

If you've seen it, how freaked out were you?A girlfriend wants to go see it Sunday and I'm afraid I'll be traumatized. I'm also afraid I'm being a giant pansy.

Re: Paranormal Activity

  • During most of the movie everyone laughed. Only the last part made people jump. Most of the time I was bored, it did not get good till the end.
  • I know I couldn't see it. I would cry, and sleep with the light on, and make T wait in the bathroom while I shower. I'm a big, huge baby
  • The freaky parts were freaky. There were several collective audience screams :) I liked it overall, but I did probably stay awake a few more minutes than usual for the next few nights.
  • I haven't seen it but did read the reviews.I have no desire to inflict trauma on my psyche right ow
  • I found it both boring and comical.  But I am not the type to buy in to that sort of thing.  I also was fairly plastered when I saw it.
  • I really wanted to see if because I heard it was the "scariest" movie ever or something, but then I heard it was so-so and not that scary. I'm kind of glad I saved my money,

  • i wanted to ask this, too! i'm such a wimp and am terrified that i won't be able to sleep if i watch it.
  • I've seen it and it's a joke.  It's no where near the scariest movie ever, it's laughable really.  If you've seen the trailer you've seen all the scary parts in the movie.  If you can watch the trailer and sleep at night, you can watch the movie.I would say go see it in the theater if you want to see it, it would seriously be a waste to rent!  It's the crowd that makes it more fun.

  • I saw the original ending and from what I've heard, the theatrical ending isn't nearly as good as the ending I saw.  The original ending fit the story much better I think.I thought it was OK.  My sister and BIL walked out last night with their friends and said it was the worst movie they'd ever seen.  My BIL said he was deducting $9 from our wedding gift for telling them that it was an OK movie, and their friends said they weren't coming to the wedding anymore.  lol
  • there were definitely a couple of parts that came back to me later when I woke up in the middle of the night, but it was nothing like the audience reactions from the preview. so it's not traumatizing, but it's spooky, and it's supposed to be :)
