Simple question regarding invitations...

How many invitations did you order for your wedding? And when I say how many, I mean the number... 50, 70, 100?Thanks.

Re: Simple question regarding invitations...

  • I ordered 100 sets.I'm confused. Why are you asking? You need an invitation for every party invited, so this depends on the size of your guest list.
  • Depends on how many people--we had 180 people on the list and I bought 75+ and additional 25 because I knew I would mess some up somehow. I did.

  • I had 100 for 75 guests.
  • I'm confused as to how this question could be answered without a number. We haven't ordered yet, but we will be ordering 100.
  • I had 100 for 75 guests. I haven't dfinalized my guest list yet, but I think my decision will be similar to KAaieWhompus. I want an extra one or two because I might do a shadowbox or frame it with a wedding picture, and my mom might want one for a keepsake. I'm also ordering extra envelopes (15-20 extra).

  • Well we can't know if we don't know how many guest you are having.] Organize your guest list and one invite per single guest/couple/family...if a family has children who are 18 or older they get their own invite, whether or not they live at home. Count up those and that is how many you need to get. Plus get some extras incase or messups.
  • Without knowing your number, my best guess would be to order at least 20% more invitations than you need, and even more envelopes.

  • Remember that you only need one per couple, not per guest.

  • We drew up our invitation list and figured out how many units were being invited.  The unit was either a single person, a couple or a family.  From there we ordered enough to ensure we had enough to cover our list plus an additional 25 in case we forgot someone by accident.   I think altogether we ordered 125 invitations (just the invitation part - I ordered 150 envelopes to leave room for my calligraphy blunders) and we invited 225 total people.
