Ew, what a beebee. I am laughing at the lady who sits next to me right now.  She is always super sugary sweet to people on the phone, and then as soon as she hangs up she goes, "HHHHHHHHH" in this giant exhale of hate.  It cracks me up every time.

That is crazy.  Usually when someone from my office is taking vacation.  We just email and put in the subject line. PTO(paid time off) from XX day to XX day see you then!

We don't even (typically) announce vacation to anyone outside of our team and/or clients.  I get that her job involves a lot of IT clients, but at the same time, if you're going to be gone for 2 weeks, find a backup and send an email that says, "I will be out of the office from Nov 4-17th.  If you need anything in my absence call Jane Doe."But, you know, then all of IT isn't aware that you're going to Disney.  I kinda get the feeling she's been waiting 30 years for this and will have her minnie ears the second she walks through the door.
