I just saw your post about student loans (I don't get to follow the posts during the day usually). I know what you mean, it's certainly daunting especially if you're on the 30 year repayment plan like I am. You're studying to be a MFT, correct? I just found out about a program that offers loan forgiveness for LPCs, LCSWs and MFTs for up to $50,000 for working 2 years in a health professional shortage area. Not sure if this will be helpful for you, but you can check out info at
http://nhsc.hrsa.gov/loanrepayment/ I was able to get the agency that I work at approved as an nhsc site since we're in a health professional shortage area. I just sent in my application for the program so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! There may be other programs like this one also that your professors may be aware of.
