So you ladies know all kinds of stuff that is why I come here to ask silly questions...Anywho if you were moving out of state and wanted to do a little research on an area, like schools neighborhoods things like that where would you look?Thanks

I would search on the internet by the name of the City.  A chamber of commerce site will probably come up for that city and they have tons of info.

Google the state and they will have a state website. From there, you should be able to get city specific websites, like chamber of commerce. Going through this myself

Most cities have a chanber of commerce website where you can find info on all the basics like schools, crime rates, and community activities.

You know, a lot of times I like to do research by neighborhood. For example, when I was maybe moving to seattle, I googled "seattle neighborhoods". Sometimes actually buying a book is a good idea if you're relocating...there can be better info there than online IMO.

You also might want to check out that area's Nest board and ask.  I find personal opinions to be more useful than statistics.

I think zillow.com has neighborhood profiles.If you are buying a house, a real estate agent might have some leads or suggestions.

Call the Chamber of Commerce of the city that you're moving too. They have relocation packets and include information such as real estate, employment, and school district info.

You can also get specific information regarding the schools from the School District's own website, which should lead you to individual schools' websites too.
