Alix- I was a vampire, too, and I definitely considered her picture when I was deciding how much white makeup to put on.  I decided on pretty much none.

Well, I'm already unnaturally pale so that was fine, and I darkened my eye area (and yes, I'll admit it, added a bit of sparkly face powder) a bit but there was no white powder to be found anywhere.

LOL, pinkpinot (which I also read as pinkINpot, oddly), what are vampires supposed to be, if not scary? The scarier the better. And yes, fangs. Vampires have them. I said I was doing another vampire; I was planning to change out the photo for whatever costume I ended up with on Saturday, and my character in the murder mystery was an actress promoting her new vampire movie. And yes, whiteface makes teeth look less white, but since you're all bright and know that, I'm not terribly worried about the fact that my teeth aren't hospital white. I brush 'em, I get 'em cleaned, they're fairly healthy, so I don't see it as a big deal. My wedding was 7 months ago; I'm very over those photos. I'm a big fan of Halloween, and I certainly don't do "toned down" Halloween. I don't do "toned down" much of anything. I actually got lots of compliments on this one at the party, but those are people who know me & what I'm like. Saturday I'll switch it out for the photos I'll be taking Friday night (Witches' Ball). I can't say you'll like the new photo any better, but it'll definitely be different. And no fangs, I promise.

Oh, forgot to answer - yes, I have my own firm. BTW, it's not powder this time; it's Snazaroo. With some ultra shimmer (from Modern Magik Body Art) over it, but that doesn't show in photos.

Larissa it's not really the makeup that scurrrred me but just the fact it's a very close up, large photo.  I wasn't expecting your face (almost life size on my screen) to pop up at me in the dress thread.
