Navy, I don't have access to the reading list, but here's the course description:Self-understanding and gender studies approach to reading and reflecting on literary and critical works by women from classical times to the present with emphasis on literature written in English. Course will explore the influence of identity and gender on formation of personal values through exploration of themes such as growing up female, women's roles and relationships, empowerment through spiritual reflection and social action

Women's lit unless get some really lame obscure reading list in which the prof is trying to push all his/her buddies material.World music seems a bit more relative to the 'interesting life knowledge' category though.

Aw, sascha, you can still appreciate music, though!  Less than 1% of the population is actually monotone, or tone deaf.  Most just haven't been taught how to use their voices properly.
