I was talking to my mother and we were trying to figure out if we are to invite these people: We are having a smaller wedding, hoping to have around 90 people. My FI and I are paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves. Both of my aunts are divorced and are both dating someone. One of them lives with the man and the other does not. They have been dating these men for around 5+ years. Both of these men have children of their own. I have never met either of these sons. One is my age and lives 7 hours away from the wedding. The other lives with his mother and is about 16. Do I invite these sons? Thanks!

I don't think you are obligated to invite the sons at all.  Or to be more specific, no I would not invite the sons.

No, not if you have never met them. Just address the invite for the aunts and their boyfriends.

Definitely NO.  You have never met them, they don't know you and you want to keep your wedding small.  This one's easy.

No.  They are old enough to stay home on their own, plus you've never met them.  It'd be different if they were regularly at family gatherings.

if your family insists on inviting them, then simply insist that they pay, because tell them you cannot afford to.

I'm not even inviting my dad's girlfriend's sons, unless my dad insists. I've never met one, the other I've met twice. So I think you're in the clear.
