  • I read the entire BSC series over and over and over again. Totally wanted my own club. Too bad I sucked at babysitting real kids. R.L. Stine Nancy Drew The Hardy Boys I need to start a new book. I have a ton on the shelf I just need to commit.
  • I was a Stephen King fanatic by the time I was 12
  • Babysitters ClubAre you there god, it's me MargaretLoved both of those. I also read Little House on the Prairie over and over (all the books), Anne of Green Gables (again, all the books) and the Narnia series. Right now I have a shiit ton of school work, so my reading is slow, but in theory I'm about to start Olive Kitteridge. It better be good, because I was on a long wait-list at the library to get it. I just read The Little Stranger, which was okay. Very Brit-Fic. On my list still are the Time Traveler's Wife and the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.
    my read shelf:
Meredith's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • I loved BSC too. Also Boxcar Children. Earlier than that, I loved the Frances books (she was a badger I think?), Junie B. Jones, and Ramona books.
  • I definitely read my share of Babysitters Club and Goosebumps. My favorite authors as a young person were Gary Paulsen, Katherine Patterson, and Judy Blume. I'm sure there are others...I don't have time to read anything right now that isn't for school. Tonight I'm supposed to be reading a book called "The Texture of Industry: An Archaeological View of the Industrialization of North America," but I don't wanna.

  • I still remember the first "novel" I ever read - the ghost in the mirror by lewis barnavelt. Such a good book.  I was in grade 2.
  • I wanted to be Elizabeth Wakefield and have a boyfriend like Todd Wilkins :Sigh:
  • Oh reading now:  Just finished Wicked (I thought I'd read it through years ago; turns out I never finished it). Before Wicked, I read Say Goodbye by Lisa Gardner and Devil's Teardrop by Deaver (below).I'm starting Jeffery Deaver's The Bodies Left Behind, and I've got about 6 books coming from Doubleday.I started Stephen King around 12, too!  I was a huge reader - started kindergarten already reading. I don't read for details, though, so I had a hard time in English class on tests.
