menu for stations

Should I make menu cards if we are doing stations for dinner?

Re: menu for stations

  • I would. It's always nice to know what your options are to eat (as a guest). J ate "mystery meat" at a wedding once and got sick from it. He was allergic but we found out after the fact.
  • While it probably isn't necessary, a menu would be nice so that guests know what is available at each station.  I went to a wedding last year that had stations with huge lineups, it would have been nice to know what I was standing in line for!
  • Should I make a menu card per person, or just one per table? Thanks for helping!:)

  • I think you'd be fine to put one or two per table.  We had a full sit down meal at our wedding, and I only made 2-3 menu cards per table.
  • We did two per table and listed the drink selection as well.
  • I wouldn't do a menu on each table. I think half of the fun of stations is walking around and seeing what's there. I would, however, make sure that everything on each station is clearly labeled.
  • Yeah, you can always label the food at the stations if you want. Just make sure there's some way for folks to know what they're eating.
  • we had a buffet and i did menus for each place with our names and date at the top.  i only did this, tho, becuase it cost me $0.  i would never have paid to do this.
  • We had labels in front of the food. We did a mix of buffet and station. Menus look nice but if budget is getting tight do not worry about, it is not needed. That is what happened with us.
  • Yes, please.  I have food allergies and would be annoyed to wait in line at a station to get to the front and find out I couldn't eat it.  I'd put at least one on each table.

  • FWIW, we made our own menu cards. Really cheap & simple. And got loads of compliments on them.
  • We definitely did.  I wanted our guests to be fully prepared to attack all 4 stations.I'm all about the food.  Mine is in my planning bio.

  • As a guest, I would prefer a menu card at the table.  If that's too much trouble, at least a card at each station. There's stuff I can't eat, and I'd rather not be suprised.
