PHP invitation wording

My sister is planning a private ceremony in Las Vegas and would like to do a party at home afterwards. How should the invitation be worded? It will be a simple celebratory dinner at a local restaurant for about 30 guests.

Also, as people ask about the wedding, what is the proper response to explain their plans?

Maybe something along the lines of "You're invited to celebrate the marriage of A and B! Please Join us at X Restaurant for dinner,,, etc" You can change the wording based on the formality of the dinner.

Sounds lovely as long as it's not a redo reception- no dress, fake ceremony and with a hosted dinner.

Thanks! That was at the start of our vows and H laughed at the word "wife". No, no wedding "stuff" at the dinner. They are both shy and don't want all the attention, but do want to celebrate.

Invitations can be worded easily, depending on whether parents or the bride and groom are hosting the event.  The invitations make it clear the wedding occurred on an earlier date.  There is no additional ceremony.
