How do I write "Sr." in invitation wording?

Hi everyone!  I have a question regarding invitation wording that I asked on my local board, but figured you ladies might know a little more about.

FI's dad is a Sr. and we want to put both of our parents' names in the invitation wording...we haven't officially chosen/perfected the wording yet, but it will be kinda like this:

Love was meant to be shared
with parents, family and friends

Caroline Middle R
and
Jason Middle E

together with our parents
Edwin and Patricia R
&
Thomas Sr. and Marianne E

Invite you to share our celebration
of lifelong love and commitment
in the ceremony uniting us in marriage
Saturday, the second of October
Two thousand ten
at five o'clock in the evening Venue
Address
City, State

Have I worded this correctly?  Does anyone know?  I'm not sure if I abbreviate it, spell it out, or leave it out altogether.

I'm having a hard time finding what the protocol is.

TIA!

  • I just read somewhere that it's Thomas E____, senior. With a common, spelled out, and lowercase. It was actually in the etiquette guide someone just posted on our club board, this morning!
