Hiring friends?

I have an exteremly talented friend who is a professional photographer. Every time we talk about my wedding (still two years away), she talks about how she can't wait to be our photographer, and I have yet to ask for her services. I would love nothing more than to have her take pictures of our special day. HOWEVER! I wanted to invite her as a guest so she could enjoy herself. Also, she is waaaaay out of out price range for what we budgeted for a photographer. Advice?

I finally put my big girl pants on and decided to talk to my friend about her offer. I told her that we'd love to have her as our photographer, but we want her to enjoy herself at our wedding, too. We left the decision entirely up to her. She said that she would love to photograph our wedding, and would only charge us for a second shooter. This could not have turned out any better.
