Why do I feel like everyone will think I'm a huge biitch in this post? I need some back up, people!

On a related note, this is one of my current pet peeves. "OMG if I don't personally call all of my friends and family and tell them where they can buy me a gift they won't know and I'll get a chili pepper lamp!!!11!!!one!!!" As if none of them have been to events with registries before.

I think engagement rings should come with wedding IQ tests.  If you fail, you have to come here until you learn enough to plan a wedding without being a twit and an etiquette idiot.

This chick is gonna ask for cash one way or the other because she's so "modern" and "forward thinking." Because hey, it's 2010, and when you're a decade into the second millenium, then it's TOTALLY OK to ask for cash. I didn't even comment on the original thread because I have a feeling I'll be wasting good advice on a hopeless case.
