I was just told that wedding etiquette does not require a guest to bring a gift. I personally could care less because I'm having a destination wedding and don't want to pay to carry the extra bulk on a plane. I'll be perfectly happy with my guests traveling all that way to see me on the happiest day of my life.
I know I have read articles here stating that even if a person declines an invite, they should still send a gift. This isn't about what the gift is, just if a gift is supposed to be given or not. What are your thoughts?
